My name is Inna Parkhomenko, and I am a mural artist.
I was born on February 20, 1972, in Magdeburg, Germany.
I grew up in Siberia. In 2021, I immigrated to the United
States from Saint Petersburg. I currently live in Jacksonville,
Florida, but my first American city was Chicago, Illinois —
that’s where my artistic journey began.

Glowing Purple Iris

Oak Park, Chicago, 2024

My third win in the Mini-Mural Competition. The purple iris is a symbol of love, gratitude, and inner light. I dedicated this work to my mother — a kind and radiant person with a big, compassionate heart. She is a doctor who cares for children. She is retired now. This mural is about the bond between
generations, about support, and the light we carry for each other — even across distances.

Dedicated to all mothers.
