Mini-mural, Oak Park (Chicago), 2023
My second win in the city’s Mini-Mural Competition. This piece became a metaphor for growth,
perseverance, and inner strength — the kind that breaks through concrete. Through the image of green leaves.
I wanted to say that clarity and answers come when we are connected to ourselves and move from the
heart. In 2025, the mural was selected for the Top 20 and received a grant from the “Beyond the Walls”
exhibition.
